Heather Tilbury Phillips is a Marketing and PR Consultant. Formerly she ran Heather Tilbury Associates Limited and was Chairman of Tilbury Sandford Brysson Limited, both well established and respected PR companies in London. In addition to her interests in Suffolk arts organisations, including Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds, Dance East and Gainsborough’s House, Sudbury, she has been involved in a number of other major projects.
Previously a Director of Mary Quant Limited in the 1970’s, she contributed to the Fashion and Textile Museum’s ‘Swinging London: A Lifestyle Revolution’ exhibition and book featuring Terence Conran and Mary Quant.
She was appointed Advisor to the V & A resulting in the outstandingly successful international Mary Quant exhibitions which were seen by over a million visitors in London, Dundee, Glasgow, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and Japan as well as the accompanying book celebrating Mary’s achievements 1955-1975. She continues to liaise with the Curators, other relevant organisations and international media.
She was Consultant, a participant and Associate Producer on the documentary film ‘Quant’ directed by Sadie Frost.
She continues to retain a ‘watching brief’ on further Mary Quant activities in order to preserve and protect Dame Mary’s unparalleled reputation and legacy.
